Naveego was founded to fill a market need. An IT services customer in the Oil & Gas industry needed a way to bring analytics-ready oil well production data from multiple facility sites into one place. They needed an analytics dashboard that they could trust to be accurate and error-free.
The solution was first implemented in the industry in 2012, and in 2014 a new company was spun off—Naveego. Derek Smith, CTO and Co-Founder of Naveego, has since architected next-generation technologies for the cloud-first data accuracy platform, creating a self-service data management solution driven by business rules (instead of technical limitations) for both non-technical and technical users.
The company that began by tackling CVS, MSSQL and noSQL data sets can now connect to anything and everything. Naveego entered the big data and IoT data markets in 2019, and has expanded from early success in the Oil & Gas industry into sixteen additional industry verticals.

Don is responsible for Global Sales and Marketing at Naveego. Don began his successful software career at Oracle and had several prior sales leadership positions at various startup companies. During his 20+ years tenure, several companies were acquired and one IPO. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a concentration in Computer Science from Oakland University.
